The Down Syndrome Association of Laredo (DSA Laredo) works to connect families with support, resources and information. DSA Laredo provides community awareness and education. They also offer monthly support group meetings. The groups give families an opportunity to make connections and share experiences.
One of the best ways to help a family is to provide family support. What is that? How can it help? The parent to parent connection can be very beneficial. It is important for new families to know that they are not alone and that help and support are available. DSA Laredo offers information on Down syndrome conferences and financial help for families to attend. They also offer social activities and events to bring children and families together.
With help from Region One Education Service Center (ESC), DSA Laredo provides assistance and information to families interested in attending workshops and seminars on Down syndrome. Support group meetings are held on a monthly basis at Mercy Kids Rehab in Laredo. DSA Laredo offers parents information and training on a variety of topics. For more information, visit Down Syndrome Association of Laredo. You can also find information on support group meetings or upcoming events at Facebook - Down Syndrome Association of Laredo.
