After all, we designed it just for you – a parent who is looking for a place to find help. Maybe you’re looking for help for your child who has a disability, special health care need, mental health concern, behavior health concern, or learning difference. Or maybe you’re looking for support for yourself as a parent. This website is here to help.
As we started working on it more than 3 years ago, we spent a lot of time talking to parents across the state of Texas who had children with disabilities and special health care needs. We listened to them as they told us about their – and their children’s – needs.
And we heard a few very important things:
Every page of this site has been written, reviewed, or edited by other parents of children with disabilities and special health care needs. We’ve had state agencies and community experts look over our tips and facts. We’ve gone through hours of web searches and phone calls. All so that you get the right answers.
