Summertime can seem very long when you have no plans for fun activities. But our area has lots of fun and free things to do if you just plan ahead.
Typically, when most movie stars pass away, my son doesn’t think twice about it. However, the death of Carrie Fisher was on his mind for quite some time.
Having friends to celebrate the happy times or to lean on during the sad times is important for most people. For my son, making friends isn’t easy, but we’re not giving up.

Join NAMI Houston for their Peer-to-Peer Class with teachers that are a team of trained “mentors” or peer-teachers, who are themselves experienced at living well with mental illness.

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens 13 and older. Beginning April 27th 2017, SYNC will give away two complete audio book downloads a week (30 titles) - pairs of high interest titles, based on weekly themes.
