Assistive Technology in the IEP: This workshop will provide participants with an introduction to the Assistive Technology consideration process that must occur for all students with disabilities in accordance with IDEA 2004, and can be used by staff developers and educators to train those involved in the development of IEPs. This includes teachers, parents, related services providers, administrators and, when appropriate, students. They will learn how to consider possible AT needs during the development of the IEP.
Related Services: Speech, occupational therapy and psychological services are only a few of the Related Services that may be needed by students with disabilities. This workshop will teach parents how students become eligible for Related Services, as well as how those services are delivered and coordinated. An overview of all Related Services under IDEA will be provided.
