The camp focuses on children with communication and learning disabilities who have average to above average learning potential.
A screening by the Camp Acorn team is required prior to acceptance into the summer program. If your child has never attended The Parish School or Camp Acorn before, a new camper application fee is required as well as a deposit to hold your spot. Applications will not be reviewed until the deposit and all forms are received. We will review your child’s needs and determine if Camp Acorn is an appropriate program. If your child is not accepted into the program, all fees paid will be refunded (excluding the application fee).
They also offer a Sibling Day Camp that provides camp experiences for siblings of our students, ages 2-12, who do not require intervention for special learning needs and who fall within the typical developmental ranges for their age.
