New Hearts Support Group was founded in 1994 as the brain-child of Bill Hester, Ralph Ekroos, Bill Traeger, Cletus Hudspeth, Ed Burk, and L.A. Train. The group has found that neither social status, ethnic background, education, nor gender count among those who share this remarkable experience - receiving a major organ transplant.
Challenges have created a pool of experience and wisdom that has become an invaluable resource for new members. There is a phone tree to keep members informed of how people are doing and the needs of group members.
