Caregiver SOS provides a variety of resource programs designed to support family caregivers who are caring for a loved one with chronic illness, for example Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia.
Caregiver Teleconnection is a free bilingual and confidential program that connects caregivers and family members to information and support through the telephone.
The Stress Buster Program (SBP) is for family caregivers and is an evidence based program that provides support for the family caregiver of persons. The program is 9 weeks in duration, with weekly 90 minute sessions with a small group of caregivers. SBP focuses on education, support, problem solving, and stress management.
The Caregiver SOS website has links to SOS centers in Texas (in San Antonio, Harlingen, McAllen and Corpus Christi) and information and resources to assist caregivers.
