Coffeehouse has been designed for individuals on the autism spectrum who identify as high functioning. Participants are those who can benefit from group instruction with like minded peers who can receive and contribute feedback to fellow peers with autism. Our participants age range from 18-65. All are working on skills related to making friends, becoming more independent, and sustaining or obtaining employment. It is held under a “drop-in” model for people to attend discussions of relevant and interesting topics as their daily schedule allows.
Those not currently enrolled at the Harris Center can call contact Rodney Keller at 713-970-8188. Those who are already enrolled in the Harris Center and are interested in attending can reach out to their service coordinator. Service coordinators will be able to review and refer candidates to our program.
