Austin SPD Alliance meets the needs of local families living with sensory processing disorder (SPD).
Established in 2011, Austin SPD Alliance was created to answer the call of sensory issues, Austin SPD Alliance has been meeting the needs of local families living with sensory process disorder by offering monthly support groups, free therapeutic services, a book class, as well as an education initiative aimed at providing free accredited training to preschool teachers.
Austin SPD Alliance Product Lending Library now available.
The Austin SPD Alliance is in the process of creating a library of products like weighted blankets and sensory friendly toys to support children at home with their sensory processing therapies. Designed to allow parents a testing time for recommended products, items are checked out for a certain period of time in order to see if they work before they invest. Products will be available for purchase after the time period expires.
