LOCATIONS:
Center-based respite is a “Moms Day Out” style program. The children are provided arts/crafts, toys, games, technology, outdoor play, lunch and a snack. The Respite Care Program provides a chance for your special needs child to play with their peers as well as the many volunteers that are “buddies” for the day. Children are in a small classroom (5-7 children, maximum) with a teacher with specialized training for children with special needs. There is an RN/LVN on site at all times to meet the medication and treatment needs of the children attending.
This monthly respite care program is offered to families of children with disabilities ages 3 months to 21 years who reside in the family's home. Services are free. An application is required.
24-48 Hours of In-Home Respite - This Respite Care Program pays for an Independent Contractor to provide respite services in the home. This program is intended to serve those families that do not have access to in-home respite through other state programs or waivers.
