Megan Westmore joins the August 12th A Look Ahead speaker lineup with an important topic - Healthy Relationships: Dating and Romantic Partnerships.
Join Megan as she starts the session with a discussion of myths and research surrounding dating and romantic relationships for people with IDD. During this session she will also... 1) define qualities of healthy relationships and discuss warning signs that a relationship may be becoming unhealthy or abusive and 2) explore a variety of tools that can be used with and by adolescents and adults with IDD to develop healthy relationship knowledge and skills. Participants will leave the session with strategies for fostering dating and romantic relationships that are safe and enjoyable for both partners.
