Houston Autism Support Group is a parent-led support to provide a hub for families with neurodiverse children, teens, and adults to meet and make supportive connections.
Houston is a HUGE urban area, and it can be difficult to meet like minded folks. I would like this to evolve into a group that schedules events around the city in different hub areas: Inside the Loop; Clear Lake, Pearland, Bellaire, Meyerland, Tomball, Spring, Spring Branch, Attacosita, Humble, Woodlands, West Houston, Acres Home, etc.
Events could be as simple as a few people getting together for coffee, a bike ride, a playdate, watching a game, games, going for a walk/hike, etc. Events could be for parents, for younger kids (3-6); elementary (7-10); tweens (10-13);younger teens (13-15); older teens (14-17); new adults regardless of guardianship status (18-21); transition adults (20-26); and adults (26+).
