The Diabetic Support Group offers education and peer counseling on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 1:00 p.m.
Topics may include:
Meal planning, weight control, carbohydrate counting
Medication and insulin information and updates
Self-monitoring blood glucose readings
Managing high and low blood sugars
Understanding and prevention of diabetes complications and emergencies
Stress management, risk reduction, and problem-solving
Foot screening and foot-care guidelines
Prevention and detection of diabetes induced eye disease
