Navigate Life Texas: Resources for kids with disabilities and special needs
Our chapter is one of 121 chapters of Assistance Leagues across the country who put “Caring and Commitment into Action” in our community.
We have over 200 dedicated volunteer members who work to fulfill our mission through our ten philanthropic programs. Operation School Bell® provides new school clothing to children in need, increasing their self esteem as they start the new school year. Fans and blankets provide comfort to residents without adequate heating or cooling systems. Therapy items, handmade dolls, and kits of clothing and toiletries assist and comfort those who have been abused. We provide information about household poisons to young children in school. Health record booklets are provided to families with newborn and young children and to seniors for tracking health information. Scholarships are provided to qualified individuals who want to further their education and to those with special needs. Through our outreach programs, we are able to fulfill one-time needs through agencies in the county and to assist individuals who are transitioning into their own housing.
