Galveston Island Transit Dial-A-Ride

To obtain information regarding this service, please call 409-797-3909. Applications and general guidelines for the service are listed on this page! The cost per trip is $2.00 each way but passes are also available.  Personal Care Assistants (PCA) ride at no-charge. If a PCA is required on a regular basis, please indicate this need in the Certification of Eligibility form. A companion may accompany you free of charge. A passenger with PCA or guests must be picked up at one location with the client and transported to the same destination as the client. There are wheelchair accessible vehicles upon request.

Hours of Operation:Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 7:30 PM Saturday 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM.

If you have any questions please call Dial A Ride at 409-797-3900. To make a reservation, call (409) 763-3333. After dialing the phone number, push the number 2.  You can call to make a reservation Monday through Sunday any time before 4:00 PM 24 hours in advance before the day you want to travel. Both the pick-up and return trips must be booked at this time. Please schedule the pick-up at least 90 minutes before your appointment and the return trip accordingly. Subscription service is available for riders making the same trip (same pick-up and drop-off location, on the same day, and at the same time) for an extended period of time.
