Navigate Life Texas: Resources for kids with disabilities and special needs
The Parenting Cottage offers group based parenting classes for the community in a variety of areas, including school based parenting classes for teen parents at several of the region’s school districts and a car seat safety class which helps economically challenged families access car seats for infants and children. The classes cover a wide range of parenting topics with parents choosing their participation from the subjects offered. Standardized evaluation processes completed voluntarily by participating parents indicate an overall exceedingly high approval and satisfaction rating from attendance and participation in group parenting initiatives. Monthly class schedules are distributed at various sites and to a wide range of agencies in the community. Parents may call to register for classes or obtain information.
