Texas Elks Camp provides special needs and foster children an opportunity to try new things, meet new friends and make memories that will last a lifetime. Campers are encouraged to make their own decisions, become more independent and accept new challenges.
Any child with special needs or in foster care age 7 to 15, who is a resident of the state of Texas is eligible for admission to the Texas Elks Camp. No child is denied acceptance on the basis of his or her income level, ethnic origin, race, creed, color or religion. There is no fee. Campers are accepted on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
Each camp session is one week. Campers arrive at Texas Elks Camp on Sunday at the assigned times and leave on Friday evening after our awards ceremony. Parents are encouraged to be at camp by 5 pm on Fridays for the awards ceremony. We make every effort to accommodate requested camp sessions, parents and guardians will be notified about the session your camper will be attending as soon as possible.
Camp registration opens the first few days of January each year.
