The Autism Society of Texas supports individuals online through Facebook, email groups, Meetup, and virtual or face-to-face meetings and social groups around Texas. Regardless of the setting, these opportunities give individuals with autism, parents/caregivers, and professionals, the chance to exchange information, share stories, and feel connected.
Their new Level 3 Parent & Caregiver Virtual Support Group is for parents of kids 2-13 that require a high level of support, so they can connect & support each other in a safe environment. Children diagnosed as Level 3 are often non-verbal or have limited communication skills, and often have behaviors such as self injury, aggression, or destruction of property, & require constant supervision.
They also provide individualized guidance and resources through their free Navigating Autism program for parents, caregivers and support people, and Autistic adults. Please call 512-479-4199 or e-mail support@texasautismsociety.org. Follow the link to RSVP.
