Velo Cardio Facial Syndrome (VCFS) is a genetic disorder in which a portion of the 22q11.2 chromosome (22Q) is missing. Historically diagnosed by symptoms, VCFS has many names such as DiGeorge syndrome. Advancements in genetics make a proper diagnosis possible.
