The goal of A Mother’s Rest is to redefine "respite" as it applies to parents and caregivers who have loved ones with disabilities and/or chronic illness. Through discounts with inn partners and donations their goal is to keep the out of pocket costs of a weekend away as low as possible. You can view their nationwide retreat calendar on their website. They change the way caregiver respite is viewed and valued in the disability community as a whole. They help promote the long term significance of "caring for the caregivers", self-care is just as important as self-sacrifice.
