Any Baby Can San Antonio Sibling Support Groups provide children who live with siblings who have disabilities or chronic illnesses opportunities to learn about disabilities, to see that they are not alone, and help them develop skills to deal with daily life as siblings of those with disabilities. Children are divided into groups according to their ages. Ages 6-7 learn about disabilities through books, educational toys, and arts and crafts. The 8-9 year olds share advice and encouragement with their peers and have a social skills component. The 10-14 group expands to discuss pre-teen and teen issues and team building activities. The groups are led by trained facilitators and volunteers. Meetings are the 2nd Friday of each month except August in the Any Baby Can offices. The groups meet from 6:30-8:30 PM. For information contact Any Baby Can at 210-227-0170.
