Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas is so much more than a place where grieving children come to heal. They change lives. Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas was founded on May 20, 1997, as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Recognizing the permanent impact that loss can have on young people, the Center was established to help children and families grieving the death of a loved one. In a culture that does not talk about grief and bereavement, and in a world that doesn’t “get it,” they do.
Children's Bereavement Center of South Texas is extending its reach by opening a Uvalde Texas satellite center located at 319 N. Getty Street, Uvalde, Texas. CBCST is offering services for families at no cost. The new center is modeled after CBCST. It will offer the same services as the Children's Bereavement Center of South Texas San Antonio location. Those seeking services should call the new location at 830-333-9833.
