The Caregiver Action Network (CAN) is a family caregiver organization working to improve the quality of life for those who care for loved ones with chronic conditions, disabilities, disease, or the frailties of old age. CAN (formerly the National Family Caregivers Association) is a non-profit organization. Their Caregiver Community Action Network (CCAN) is a group of over 100 volunteers in more than 40 states. Volunteers provide education and support and teach caregivers to be advocates for themselves and their loved ones. The website hosts a forum where you can post a question or discussion topic and hear from other that are part of the network. There is also a Family Caregiver Toolbox which features links to webinars, articles and assessment tools.
