Childhood Cancer Connection

Childhood Cancer Connection Inc. has supported children living with cancer and blood disorders and their families. Through community and individual fund-raising efforts, we are able to offer year-round activities for the children, including a trip to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a winter family party with Santa Claus, and our children’s favorite, a week-long summer camp for about 75 campers, along with support for their families.

Parent Support Activities include: 

• provides the family of each newly diagnosed patient with a notebook and written material to help guide them through the treatment process.
• facilitates parents meeting other parents so that mutual support and assistance can begin.
• provides funding for parents to attend the annual statewide Parent Teaching Conference sponsored by the American Cancer Society..
• provides bereavement support to each family during the difficult period  following the death of a child.
