Children's Association for Maximum Potential (Camp CAMP) offers camps and respite opportunities throughout the year for individuals with physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities and their families. Activities include horseback riding, aquatics, music, sports, recreation, arts/crafts, and outdoor activities. The camper-counselor ratio can be 1 camper to 1 counselor, or up to 4 campers to 1 counselor, depending on individual needs of campers. Medical staff and care clinic are available to campers 24/7.
CAMP provides recreational opportunities for individuals with medical conditions or disabilities as well as their siblings; respite for family members; leadership development for high-school students/young adults; and hands-on educational experiences for healthcare professionals.
Other programs include Parents Night Out and Teen & Adult Day Adventure. Go to www.campcamp.org for more information. You must register your child prior to their acceptance in CAMP programs. Financial assistance may be available.
