The Verne Cox Multipurpose Recreation Center is a facility specifically dedicated to recreational activities, programs, and events for youth and adults with disabilities. With a wide variety of programs year-round, the Verne Cox Multipurpose Recreation Center serves persons ages 5 to 95 years of age with any type of physical and/or intellectual disability.
Programs: Fitness, Swimming, Wheelchair Sports, Community Outings, Cultural Arts Events, Summer Day Camps, Afterschool Programming.
Features: Outdoor Pool, Gymnasium, Weight Room, Two Activity Rooms, Fully Functional Kitchen, Shower/Locker Room Facilities, Two Accessible Softball Fields
SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE:
The City of Pasadena recognizes that some residents are financially unable to participate in programs offered by the Pasadena Parks & Recreation Department but still desire the opportunity to experience the benefits of recreational programs and/or services. Pasadena Parks & Recreation offers a Scholarship Program to make recreational programs and/or memberships available to as many City of Pasadena residents as possible.
