Coastal Bend Center for Independent Living - Housing Services

The services include:  

• Amy Young Barrier Removal -provides modifcations for accessibility at residences for individuals with disabilities throughout the Coastal Bend area.
• CDBG Home Modifications- provides modifications for accessibility at residences within the City of Corpus Christi.
• TSAHC Rural Ramps - provides minor home modifications for persons living in rural counties of the Coastal Bend and
• Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program -provides short-term rental housing vouchers to individuals with disabilities waiting for access to permanent subsidized housing.

(Persons accessing programs must meet income eligibility.)

Volunteer Ramps:
Local civic and religious groups provide volunteers to build wheelchair ramps for individuals with disabilities within the Corpus Christi area when there are gaps in funding.
