The America's Drug Card program was established in response to the many requests that NBBI receives for assistance for the uninsured and underinsured with their prescription needs. The prescription cards are accepted at over 80% of pharmacies in the US and its territories. Savings average 15% on brand name medications, and 55% on generic medications. Anyone can use the card, regardless of age or income. They assist the uninsured the most, but can benefit people who are insured when they need a drug that is not reimbursable, such as fertility drugs. Seniors may also benefit when they fall into the Medicare Part D coverage gap.
