Navigate Life Texas: Resources for kids with disabilities and special needs
Davidson Respite House & Najim Home provide emergency temporary overnight relief to caregivers of a child with a qualifying disability. Services are available on a limited basis dependent upon capacity in the house. Families who have a child with a qualifying developmental disability, ages 6 weeks to 17 years of age are eligible for this program. All children must have a completed registration packet prior to receiving services. All services must be scheduled through the office. There are NO drop-in services. Children in the custody of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services utilize the DRH by contacting the office for placement. Families may also access care through private placement. The services are available for infants to 17 years of age.
