Navigate Life Texas: Resources for kids with disabilities and special needs
Campers are paired 1:1 with a volunteer, who acts as their buddy throughout the week and helps to lead them through activities. Each day of camp has a different theme, like "A Day At The Beach" or "Out of this World." All music, games and crafts are geared towards the day's theme. They offer four different sessions of Camp Buckaroo throughout June and July; campers and volunteers are able to choose the dates and location that best work for them. Please see the FAQ pages below for summer dates and locations. Camp hours are from 9 am to 12 pm for campers, Monday through Friday. All volunteers must be at least 15 years of age to volunteer at Camp Buckaroo; interviews are required for new volunteers.
