Gravity Racing for Special Needs Children *

(dual rider cars & experienced drivers provided)

* We define a "Super Kid" as a special needs child who is at least 7 years old and is NOT capable of driving (steering and braking) a regular single-driver soap box derby car. Driver Training sessions are available after most Super Kids events for any Non-Super Kid boy or girl who wishes to become eligible to race a Stock or Super Stock single-driver soap box derby car provided by GHSBD. 

Cost: Free (donations welcomed)

*Spring Qualifier: Top 4 finalist from Spring race qualify to race in the season championships (May 18, 2024). Winner advances to the National Super Kids Classic in Akron, OH, in July.

 

Registration & General Information

Minimum Age - Kids entering the first grade during the current race season can participate in our events as long as they will turn 7 sometime during the school year. 

Size Restriction 150 lbs. - If your Super Kid weighs more than 150 lbs. please let us know in the pre-registration email. We may be able to make special arrangements to have our Adult Special Needs car available.
