As the first hospice in Central Texas, Hospice Austin was established more than 30 years ago by a group of doctors and concerned citizens for the sole purpose of serving families. Since then, they have provided end-of-life care to any person who needs us, regardless of the complexity of the illness, cost of care or a patient’s ability to pay.
Hospice Austin is a nonprofit hospice. That means the resources are not used to benefit shareholders but instead go back into services that benefit you and your family. They believe every person deserves peace and comfort, with care that emphasizes independence and respect and is tailored to his or her individual preferences.
The Mission:
Hospice Austin is a nonprofit organization that eases the physical, emotional and spiritual pain of any person in our community facing the final months of a serious illness by providing expert and compassionate care, education and bereavement support.
The Vision:
We envision a community in which people with serious illness live their final months with comfort, dignity and peace.
