A team of representatives from both centers developed this collaboration to provide exceptional training opportunities in person-centered practices for people with disabilities, families, and professionals. The Institute offers training and materials developed specifically for educators, executive managers and organization decision makers, direct support professionals, social workers, individuals with disabilities and family members. The goal is to increase the number of self-advocates, families, professionals, and local, state, and federal agencies that participate in the use of Person Centered Practices. Teaching Person-Centered Thinking leads to Person-Centered Practices, which leads to Person-Centered Organizations which, in turn, creates Person-Centered Systems that support Person-Directed lives. A team of representatives from both centers developed this collaboration to provide exceptional training opportunities in person-centered practices for people with disabilities, families, and professionals.
