K2 Academy of Kids - Adaptive Gymnastics / SOAR

The SOAR program was created to be all inclusive and provide a recreational outlet to children with neurological or physical disabilities. This program allows children of all disabilities to participate in the sport of gymnastics as an individual or in a group setting.

What types of weekly classes are offered and what is the cost?

The SOAR program offers two class types: One-On-One instruction and a Shadow (private teacher) in a Typical Class.
Tuition is billed monthly according to class type below.
In addition to monthly tuition, students pay a Membership Fee of $40 (Family Max of $80) upon enrollment, and then each year on the 1st of their anniversary month.

ONE-ON-ONE-Billed monthly: Attend 1x per week
$132/30 min   $204/45 min   $268/60 min

This is a customized one on one lesson with the child. The lesson is structured to work on specific needs fo the child that have been determined by the parent/coach. The focus is on goals set by the instructor and positive reinforcement and successful completion
of goals.

SHADOW

$115 monthly / Attend class 1x per week
In a shadow class your child will participate in a typical class with the aid of their own coach. Students will be expected to participate in warm-up, listen to teachers instructions and rotate with the group with assistance from their coach. Your child’s instructor will help keep your child on task and modify
stations as needed.

RESPITE

This is a FREE Parents Night Out for children with disabilities and their siblings! A snack and drink are provided.

This is by reservation ONLY! You must contact the front office to make the reservation.

All students that attend Respite must have completed a SOAR assessment with a K2 Academy coach prior to registering for this event.

SOAR OPEN GYM

$10 per child

This event, offered 6 times per year, is open to SOAR students and their siblings. Parents stay and play with their children as they use the gymnastics equipment as desired. We always open and offer assistance to use our adaptive swing, the Simmons Flyer.
