They also educate parents on proper nutritional practices, breastfeeding, and basic parenting skills through our “Food for Hungry Babies” program. Good nutrition during a baby's first year gives baby a strong start for a strong future.
L.I.F.E. Houston is a low barrier organization requiring only the ID of the person requesting assistance and proof of the infant’s name and birth date. If the baby uses a special formula (like Alimentum or Nutramigen), a note from the doctor or a current WIC shopping list is needed. Clients receive a 7 day supply of formula and age appropriate baby food and may return a maximum of six times until the child reaches one year of age.
