This group is a friendship network for families homeschooling kids who might be called "quirky." It is open to anyone in Southeast Texas who is homeschooling one or more kids with any diagnosis that affects learning, or for whatever reason, is just quirky. It is geared toward "very-high-functioning" and "high-functioning" kids, but any kid with learning differences who is social is welcome. The group is not limited to people in those areas.
If you are in another area, but would still like to join and are willing to drive to attend activities, you are welcome. We have weekly activities that are held at parks, community centers or other public facilities or at people's homes if they want to host. To host an event, you just need to contact a group administrator and get it scheduled so there are no scheduling conflicts.
