Navigate Life Texas: Resources for kids with disabilities and special needs
Melanie Dartest Chapter, Sickle Cell Foundation helps people manage and control the pain and symptoms that could hinder daily living, provide workshops for people with SCD and their families, and summer camps for people to network and fellowship with others who also have sickle cell disease. Our mission is to bring awareness of the hardship that persons with sickle cell endure to the public, too stress the need of sickle cell testing to the general public, and too inform people that sickle cell disease is not primarily confined to the African-American community- people of any tropical descent may have the trait.
