Navigate Life Texas: Resources for kids with disabilities and special needs
STRAPS mission is to organize, promote, administer, and conduct a variety of adaptive and Paralympic-style sports for wounded service members and veterans, as well as, other adults and youth. They offer several programs for person with disabilities including paralympic/ambulatory soccer, for athletes with mobility impairments such as amputations, cerebral palsy, stroke, and traumatic brain injuries. Wheelchair soccer is available for those with physical disabilities such as spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, and amputations who use manual wheelchairs. Power soccer is offered for those with physical disabilities who use powerchairs. Visit their website for a complete list of programs available.
