OCARC provides skills training to get a job in the private sector and lead a productive life in society. They have been in the industrial engraving sign business for over 20 years, and make all types of signs, desk sets, name pins both in plastic and metal, and a number of other products.

OCARC IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION LOCATED IN ORANGE, TEXAS.

IT WAS FOUNDED IN 1956 BY A GROUP OF CONCERNED PARENTS AND CITIZENS

THAT REALIZED THE NEED FOR VOCATIONALTRAINING FOR INTELLECTUALLY CHALLENGED ADULTS.

BY THE LATE 60’S OCARC HAD GROWN INTO OUR CURRENT LOCATION THAT NOW SERVES AROUND 50

ADULTS. OUR WORKSHOP SPECIALIZES IN ALL TYPES OF SIGNS, DESK SETS, NAMEPINS, TROPHIES,

BANNERS, AND PLAQUES. OCARC HAS GROWN BEYOND VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND NOW INCLUDES

DAILY REHABILITATION SERVICES. THESE SERVICES FOCUS ON BUILDING SOCIAL, COGNITIVE, AND SELF-

HELP SKILLS. OCARC IS FUNDED IN PART BY THE UNITED WAY, BUT OUR WORKSHOPS STRIVE TO BE AS

SELF-SUPPORTING AS POSSIBLE.
