• They operate a Volunteer Home Repair Program.
• Roofs Over Houston and the Interior Repair Program use insured, licensed contractors to address urgent issues such as leaky roofs, unsanitary plumbing conditions, unsafe electrical systems and homes with air conditioning and heating problems.
• The Safe and Sound Program uses licensed contractors and volunteers to provide home modifications for elderly adults and people with disabilities.  This includes hand rails and wheelchair ramps, and other repairs and modifications to make homes safer and more accessible so homeowners can remain as mobile and independent as possible as they reach their older years.

  If you can’t afford a potentially lifesaving Heat/Air Conditioner, we may be able to help. Low-income homeowners are encouraged to email info@rebuildinghouston.org or call 713-659-2511 for a pre-screening to determine program eligibility. 

• The home must be owned by the applicant and be a full time resident; applicant must be named in the deed to the property and located in Harris County, Texas.
• Rebuilding Together does not complete aesthetic or cosmetic exterior or interior repairs.

• Homeowner qualifications for home repairs at no cost:

• US military veteran living in Harris County, OR

• Homeowners living in Third Ward Zip Code: 77004, OR

• Homeowners living in rural areas in or near these Zip Codes: 77336, 77375, 77377, 77429, 77433, 77447, 77449, 77484, 77493, 77532, 77561, 77562;

• Be living on a very low income (50% or lower of the Average Median Income for the Greater Houston/Harris County area);

• Be a full-time resident and owner of the home (a single-family dwelling);

• Be current on property taxes or have an official payment agreement with your County Tax Office for delinquent property taxes.
