All classes follow daily schedules, and are taught by compassionate, loving teachers.The Shorkey Center is a rehabilitation center for children with disabilities. The Center offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, aquatic therapy, and ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy for children with autism. The Shorkey Center also offers an all-inclusive daycare and summer camps. Serving children from ages 1-21 years old, accepting commercial insurances and Medicare managed care group.
Parent Training supports families of children with autism and other diagnosed behavior challenges. This 1:1 parent training program informs parents and empowers families with skills to improve language, social emotional learning, and behavior strategies. The goal is to work directly with the parent and child targeting specific challenges and improve relationships. Our trained behavior support staff listen to parent needs and create an individualized family plan for targeted behavior practice.
Pathways – This program is designed to empower parents by providing current research and evidence-based intervention strategies in order to address the unique needs of their child with autism. Pathways is based on Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBI), a combination of ABA techniques and developmental science. Pathways is a 12 chapter program that allows parents and their children (aged 0-5) to work at their own pace to improve overall social engagement and communication. The program also benefits children that struggle with behavior, social development, and/or self-regulation
Requirements: Your child does not need a diagnosis of autism to receive intervention.

Serving children from ages 0 – 21 years old, accepting, Private Pay, Commercial / Private Insurances and Medicaid Manage Care groups.
Recreation Therapy utilizes a medical and evidence based approach to leisure activities to accomplish the needs & goals of the client in cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual domains. Recreation Therapy is utilized and benefits all populations and diagnoses because it is adapted for individual needs! Rec. Therapy also provides an opportunity for children in therapy to apply the skills they achieve in a safe environment.
This is a self-paced program based on child’s progress and development. The program spans a minimum of 12 weeks – 24 weeks. Parent and child work together with an interventionist for 90 minutes a week (2 times per week for 45 min. or 1 session of 1.5 hours).
