The Arc’s mission is to ensure opportunities for people with intellectual and related developmental disabilities to maximize their quality of life within our community.
The Arc is important to families of Fort Bend County because, not only do we provide direct services, but we also provide information to parents about organizations that will help support their children right here in Fort Bend County. Because The Arc is a membership organization, we provide the networking opportunity for parents so that they can help support one another with the daily challenges of raising a child with a disability. The Arc has many diverse services which improve the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and provides a base of support for their families. – from classrooms to the workplace. Along with this advocacy, we provide recreational and social programs, employment assistance, housing support and the largest Special Olympics program in the area. The Arc offers support for adults, youth programs, and support groups.
