The mission of The Johnson Center for Child Health and Development is to advance the understanding of childhood development through clinical care, research, and education. In 2004, a group of parents and professionals gathered to consider the growing needs of the developmental disorder community. Over time, a multi-disciplinary center called Thoughtful House was established to address the needs seen as the most pressing for those with developmental disorders: appropriate healthcare, diagnostic, behavioral, and education services; community outreach and support; and research.
