Most students come to us because they are struggling to meet their social and academic potential in a traditional classroom setting. Some of the most common labels that our students come to us with are:
We also serve many children who do not have specific labels, but struggle with organizational, spatial, attention or social issues, including those who struggle with executive functions.
Our focus is on serving the social and academic needs of children with learning differences, and therefore we are not equipped to serve students with significant behavioral or emotional issues.
The Joy School prepares students with learning differences to return to traditional classroom settings by enabling them to reach their academic and social potential in a safe, supportive environment.
