United Partners in Pflugerville is a God centered nonprofit organization that seeks to empower the abilities of all and build community. UP Pflugerville wants to provide community support for adults with disabilities.
This program is a place where individuals can come and feel welcomed, share their gifts and talents and build community partnership on our way UP! UP is geared towards individuals with disabilities, who have “aged out” of the public school system (21+), with possible future summer options for 18+. The vision is to build a vocational community where partners with disabilities learn and work side by side with peers engaging in meaningful work and service to the community.
- UP-Pf work day is 9:00am-3:00pm
- UP-Pf meets Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the UP House located at 102 S. Third St. in Pflugerville, TX
A Partner's Day at UP:
The day begins with a daily devotional followed by the 3 C's: calendar, culture, and current events. After this, various individual or small group projects. These could include, but are not limited to: paint pours, resin work, wreath designing, jewelry making, and crafts involving natural elements (i.e. wood, rocks, sand/shells, and semi-precious stones). On some days baking snacks in the morning, to either offer to patrons of the UP Store or enjoy as an afternoon treat! Following morning activities is lunch and a short exercise session where everyone boogies or goes on a walk! Partners begin the clean-up process around 30 minutes, before pick-up at 3pm.
