WADE’S ARMY

Cancer is a word everyone knows and every parent fears. Pediatric cancer can be an overwhelming experience for a family. When a child is in the fight with pediatric cancer like neuroblastoma, everything in life can be drowned out and bills, missed work, and travel expenses can pile up very quickly. Most people have heard of leukemia, breast cancer and prostate cancer. Neuroblastoma, on the other hand, is mysterious to many.

Wade's Army was founded by the Welbourn and DeBruin families to recruit others to use their power for good and bring the fight to this pediatric cancer. They have fought with muscle and kindness, bringing people together to raise money directly for children and parents affected by this childhood cancer while also supporting research initiatives and hospitals fighting to find a cure. Their "Army" of supporters has made it possible for them to fund five clinical research trials, support 30 families and commit more than $800,000 to clinical research to find a cure for this terrible disease and are leading the charge against neuroblastoma. Wade's Army is a charity founded to honor the fight of Wade DeBruin (2009-2011).
