As the months get cooler, you can start to see fall sports taking shape in Williamson County and surrounding areas. Some children with disabilities can’t participate in traditional sports and miss out on great childhood experiences.
Miracle League at Town & Country offers a great opportunity for children with disabilities to participate in sports throughout the year by putting a "buddy system" in place. By using the "buddy system,” every child gets the opportunity to play in the game. Players are partnered with a "buddy" on the field to help them bat, get around the field as independently as possible and enjoy the baseball experience.
While there is lots of fun and excitement to be had by all, this league serves ages 4 - 19. Miracle League is for children that do not fit into "regular" recreational leagues. Games are played at the Town and Country Optimists Sports Complex and the Round Rock Express Miracle Field located at 13300 Morris Road in Austin.
There are many ways to help support this great organization. Volunteers are always appreciated. To register your child to participate, to donate, or to volunteer, visit the Miracle League at Town & Country website.
