Do you have a child with Cerebral Palsy and live in the Central Texas Area? An organization for you to consider when you are looking for resources is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Transition Hope (CPATH). They work to promote awareness and provide support for families in the Central Texas area.
CPATH provides opportunities for families through its CPAL program to participate in fun social events, camps and networking opportunities. Children and their parents get a chance to socialize. Parents share information, experiences and challenges together and form bonds. One of the best ways for parents to find support is to connect with other families living similar lives.
Camp CPals & Fall Retreat Camp allows children to take part in camping activities. CPALs hosts children of all ages in a supportive and safe environment. The camp allows children to focus on learning what they can do instead of what they can't.
The CParents Program offers support and information for parents to help them find their way on this journey. CPALs helps families form friendships while providing information through meetings and guest speakers.
CPATH also hosts events for children and families to enjoy, such as the Halloween Trunk or Treat. Visit the CPATH website for more information, support and activities in your area. And don’t forget to check out our Find Services, Groups and Events page for other parent groups and resources.
Brushing your child’s teeth from an early age can keep them healthy and their teeth strong. Children with disabilities often need extra help with oral hygiene.

Healthcare decisions should be based on the needs of patients, not their age. Pediatric patients are treated based on their size. The right dose of medicine is determined using their height and weight. Equipment is sized for their safety and comfort.
