Navigate Life Texas is proud to announce our new logo.
We decided to undertake this logo redesign after conducting focus groups with parents of children with disabilities. Parents let us know that our former logo—which featured a road leading into the horizon—did not reflect the website’s purpose or target audience.
In contrast, the new Navigate Life Texas logo represents community, diversity and the empowerment of children with disabilities in Texas.
The logo shows three children with different disabilities navigating life together. They are playful and confident in their ability to move forward. A young child who is blind, using a “white (probing) cane,” leads the group. She is followed by a person who uses a wheelchair for mobility. The last figure represents a child or young adult with an invisible disability. All three figures share a common line that connects their paths together.
The logo colors are bright and welcoming, illustrating the vibrancy of the Navigate Life Texas community. The boldness of the colors is meant to represent hope and empowerment. The logo uses a different color for each child to demonstrate the diversity of children with disabilities in Texas. These colors work in harmony with Navigate Life Texas’ parent brand, Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
We look forward to this new chapter in the Navigate Life Texas story. We are committed to supporting and celebrating families of kids with disabilities—now and long into the future.
