2024 Annual Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Conference

The 2024 Annual SMA Conference will be held in Austin, Texas at the JW Marriott Austin from Thursday, June 6 - Sunday, June 9, 2024. 

Every year, Cure SMA sponsors a conference to bring together the leading SMA researchers, clinicians, families, and individuals living with SMA. Cure SMA has been hosting the Annual SMA Conference since 1988. We look forward to reuniting as a community at this year's conference in order to lend each other support and strength, and to learn about the latest advances in research and care.

As always, the Community, Researchers, and Clinical Care Conferences run alongside each other. Through these conferences, we bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, families, and individuals with SMA to network, learn, and collaborate. The Annual SMA Conference is the largest conference in the world for those affected by SMA, and also for those involved in providing support and care for SMA patients.

The weekend is filled with a wide variety of workshops, general sessions with leading researchers, a family-friendly researcher poster sessions, and more, plus fun events like our meet & greet fun fest, as well as teen socials and adults with SMA networking activities. There are also many opportunities to connect and interact with other SMA families and individuals with SMA while receiving firsthand updates from the researchers.
